• The Semware Editor

From Sean Dennis@618:618/1 to All on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 12:52:08
    Hi everyone,

I discovered that The Semware Editor, successor to QEdit, is now
freeware for Windows and Linux. It's a really powerful text-based
    editor. It's available at semware.com.

I use it as my Windows box's text editor and with Multimail.

Thanks for that! I was a huge fan of QEdit back in the DOS days and
will give this a try. Didn't know it was available for Linux.

Sure thing! I need to ask if he can generate a regkey for QEdit for
    OS/2. I'd love to have a nice console-mode editor.

On Linux/Bsd/Solaris etc I always preferred Vi...

I know how to use vi, and do sometimes, but generally on *nix I've been
using nano for quite a while now. Including for this message. :-)

I was using nano under Windows for Multimail until I discovered TSE was
    free. Worked great.

Ditto, but I also like to give other curses/console-based editors a try, figuring that there are always good features in other editors. Eventually the best ideas will be adopted in most editors, but they've gotta come from somewhere! :)
