• Any makers with 3d printers out there.

I just picked up a PRUSA mk3S+ about a year ago and I have been trying to teach myself CAD with on-shape. I am not a pro, but I have progessed a bunch over the last year. It would be interesting to hear from other makers out there.

I've played with CAD since the 80s when it was DOS based. I get to use 2021 at work for circuit boards and other drawings.

I LOVED Inventor when I had a 3-yr student license!! I also got to use other flavours, but still enjoyed Inventor the best.

I tried my hand at Fusion 360, but found it to not be as fun to play with. I have a couple cheaper programs I use, and others sware by Blender (but I find Blender menus way too complicated for what needs to be done - why not create separate menus for what I am trying to do at the time? I don't need 2 rows of Animation icons when I am just trying to make a simple cube for testing.)

I first get into 3D printers with the M3D Micros during their testing phase. Then I got a nice (at the time) Ender 3, but have always had trouble getting the bed to work properly. Last summer I got my first resin printer and haven't looked back! I've only had 1 or 2 fails, and they were due to incorrect settings when swapping out colors, etc.

I currently make items at work during my lunchtime and take them home and use VIACADPRO to set them up as .stl to print them. Fun Stuff!

That is awesome. I am definitely an amateur in comparison. I was thinking about getting a resin printer, but I move a lot and getting the resin fluid in Korea is almost impossible. The consider it some type of hazmat. I make mostly functional things for around the house and at work, but I am pitching a program at work to have 3d printers deployed at all our offices globally. I was thinking that the MK4 would be a good choice since it has auto z-level, which is the hardest thing to get correct for new users. We will see how that goes, but I might have a new program with 500 printers around the world.

Sorry about my screen name. I made it up when I created the account because I thought everything was going to be posted using my handle, but it is kinda funny.

    That is strange!

Here at work we have a nice Raise3D N2 Plus that is nearly flawless - but took a lot of time to get the bed settings perfect.
