I don't often pay attention to who donates what, but when we talk about "donors who skip the candidate and donate directly to the party," I just don't see it. I believe you about the Texas oil companies, but is that just happening in Texas? Or are they funding Republican DAs in (for example) New York City?As is their right, is it not? There are wealthy Republican donors who the same things.The DNC and RNC both send out fundraising letters and both so that would seem to be a "yes."Yea but that's not what George does and that's not what the Sand does.
