• "El Cheapo BBS" shutting down

From Jeff Thiele@1:387/26 to All on Thursday, February 17, 2022 23:50:48
Since everyone has presumably had a chance to check out the sub-$10 "El
Cheapo BBS," I will be shutting it down.

If anyone would like to see it brought back up, let me know. I'll keep it around for a while longer before I recycle its bits.

And if anyone here would like my assistance in setting up a sub-$10, cloud-based BBS, let me know that as well.

    Jeff.

Just don't ask him for assistance in setting up a $10 Pi-based BBS. He can't, but that's not his fault. No one can.

    Because you can't do it.

That wasn't the claim. Read the original claim again, VERY CAREFULLY.
Nowhere does it say that a Pi has to be involved. I'm not talking about subsequent discussions; I'm talking about THE ORIGINAL CLAIM.

    Holy hell, you're dense.

So, any progress on that $10 Pi-based BBS?
