I recently heard that in Texas, when someone turns 16, they
automatically get a personal letter with information about how to get a driver's license. True? In other states too?
And I guess the oil barons like it -- at least as long as the
majority is driving around in gas guzzling F-150s and similar...
Well then, when they already have the system set-up, wouldn't it be easy to send information about how to register as a voter when they turn 18? No?
But I guess getting a driver's license, in a country where working public transportations are almost non-existent, is more important than getting everybody to take part of the hallmark of democracy -- voting.

No, I, the original poster made no "assumption" like that, I only asked why
he state regarded it more important to send out personal info on one subject a
not the other.

I guess I should be first to hear about any ban? Still not happened.

And as for Lee, if you are so badly educated in your own mother's tongue
that you can't even distinguish between a native speaker and someone like me, with English not even my second language (that's German) but my third, I really, truly pity you. It must be hard to find a well paid, steady job when you are in that awkward position?

When the moderatorship was handed to me, I am pretty sure your name, and Lee's, were the only ones (at the time) that came up.

My problem has not been keeping such a job, but when to retire. :)
Your English is passable for someone for whom English is a third (or more) language. Lee's English is not always so great, like maybe it is not his first (or second) language, either, especially when he seems excited about something.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Joe Biden came to Louisiana and tried to appropriate Cajuns? The way he does it with blacks already? I'm ready to start seeing him exploit other demographics for a change ;)
