    That's not a denial, sure, but it's also not a confirmation of anything. I'm sure Cruz would have gotten the same answer if he'd asked, "Are there any FBI agents, or FBI informants, in the room with us today?" Sure, he was asked by
    a US Senator, but the existence of this YouTube video proves that his answer would not have stayed in that room.

    While it is not denial, I would expect denial of those particular questions. If Agents were not doing these things, I don't understand the harm in getting that out there.

    The FBI doesn't comment on those things, ever. It's a blanket policy. If they answered sometimes and not others, things could be read into when they chose
    to do so or not. And so, they never do.

    Some of the other questions, yes I can see them not wanting to answer, i.e. "Were there agents there?" Not denying that they were there and up to no good is not good.

    They were in particular referring to a Mr. Epps, who has denied ever working for the government as either an agent or an informant.
