• FastEcho Netmail Question

From Jason Bock@1:267/310 to All on Friday, July 14, 2023 23:02:44
I have Fastecho working with ProBoard and it can send out netmail fine to the destination. The issue is when I receive it, the mail stays in my netmail folder as a *.MSG file. ProBoard can be configured to read the *.MSG format but I cannot reply to them. I tried importing and even with feutil import and I get:

Importing NetMail messages into secondary NetMail areas ...

    0 NetMail message(s) imported ...

    Even if I -FORCE it.

Does anyone have any ideas? I would like to have my incoming netmail go directly into my JAM base.

    Thank you,

    Jason

    'Feutil2.exe import' works fine here.

Are you sure your jam netmail area has been set correctly as "netmail"?

    Yes. ;)

Then please check the feutil import exclude options. It may be that your FE is importing only netmail for bbs users.

FastEcho supports a QuickBBS or RA 2.x USERS.BBS for the netmail import function (when you toggle Include USERS.BBS to Yes.) However, You can use an ASCII text file listing your users (1 user per line) & specify that on the FEUTIL Import command line with the -Incl switch.

    ie:

    FEUTIL Import -Incl users.txt

For test purposes, I would create a text file with just your name in it, and see if it will import a NetMail addressed to you at the address you specified for your JAM netmail area.

    ie:

    FEUTIL Import -Incl bock.txt

    where bock.txt contains:

    Jason Bock

    Hope this helps,

    Andrew

I also tried to "change it up" by changing the area to echomail then it showed 0 areas defined as netmail. So that proves it is "trying". I then changed it back to netmail and still did not work.

FastEcho supports a QuickBBS or RA 2.x USERS.BBS for the netmail import function (when you toggle Include USERS.BBS to Yes.) However, You can
use an ASCII text file listing your users (1 user per line) & specify
that on the FEUTIL Import command line with the -Incl switch.

    ie:

    FEUTIL Import -Incl users.txt

For test purposes, I would create a text file with just your name in it, and see if it will import a NetMail addressed to you at the address you specified for your JAM netmail area.

    ie:

    FEUTIL Import -Incl bock.txt

    where bock.txt contains:

    Jason Bock

    Hope this helps,

    Andrew

I tried that suggestion. It still did not work. :(

I also tried to "change it up" by changing the area to echomail then it showed 0 areas defined as netmail. So that proves it is "trying". I then changed it back to netmail and still did not work.

    Thank you,

    Jason
