Russian airlines are looking for aircraft parts from parties abroad to keep their fleet in the air. This is necessary because European and American aircraft manufacturers are no longer allowed to supply spare parts.
Russia's attack on Ukraine has resulted in international sanctions being imposed on Russian airlines. For example, no more aircraft or parts may be delivered. That is why it is now being examined whether the necessary parts can be obtained in, for example, India, China or Turkey.
Aeroflot, S7 Airlines and other Russian airlines no longer fly abroad, with the exception of Belarus. This is to prevent their planes, which in most cases are owned by foreign leasing companies that want them back, from being seized.
