The US is one of the last Western countries to abolish the vaccination obligation for incoming travelers. Those who had not been injected were persona non grata in America until now and were not allowed to enter the country, but the Biden administration has now decided to scrap the measure before the start of the summer holidays.
The US government still calls it a good step if people get vaccinated, but no longer sees corona as such a danger that an obligation for incoming travelers is necessary.
The vaccination obligation officially expires on May 11.
