A man wanted for 26 years for a murder has been arrested at a German airport. He was selected at customs for a random check and it turned out that Ireland and Albania were after him.
The 44-year-old Albanian man tried to fly from Dusseldorf to Barcelona, but was first checked extra. He turned out to be wanted in Ireland for drug-related crimes. The airport police then took his fingerprints and found out that he was also convicted of shooting a person in 1997. He now used a different name.
Because Albania has no statute of limitations for murder, the man can now be extradited by Germany to his native country.
