    I just finished binge-watching Californication -- quite an interesting watch. I've always liked Stephen Tobolowsky and admired his acting
    chops. To be able to do it while wearing a red speedo through most of
    his scenes (or so it seems) is quite a feat.

    Evan Handler became a bit of a scene stealer - coincidentally, I just finished re-watching "It's like, you know", where he played another LA personality - only in that show he's a trust fundinista.

    First I'll need to see what's all the fuss about "being a homosexual." Once I figure that out, I'll drive out to to San Diego to see what else I've been missing. ;)

    I like the idea that you'll somehow get way out of date info on this topic and show up in California with short shorts, a leather jacket, and a sick Burt Reynold style 'stash.

    San Francisco always had a time machine beauty to it. I was riding my
    bike through Golden Gate Park in the late '90s. They close off the main
    streets to car traffic on Sundays, and on one of the side streets were a
    bunch of men roller-dancing. Rollerblades were all the rage, but they
    had old-fashioned leather skates, a boom box, one of them had a huge
    afro, white tank top, cutoff shorts, those knee socks with colored
    stripes on them, and ray-ban aviators, looking like he just fell out of
    the early '70s - or a Soul Train dance off.
