There's your problem. You are invoking it wrong.
Try this:

There's your problem. You are invoking it wrong. Try this:

Connecting to remote server...failed!

Looks like the remote server doesn't accept RLogin connections.

I'm telnetting, not rlogining, so I think that's a non-specific error. I
tried -C2 as well to force telnet and get the same error. I've got the latest version from github.

I'm currently looking at the chat history, the fact that I have chosen the Necromancer class, some kind of mini map on the screen, and when I hit "?" it shows me a menu of available commands. Then I hit 'q' to quit or commit suicide and it hung up on me. Seems to work fine there.

Using Syncterm on Windows, the words are all over the screen. Hitting any single key seems to hit enter, just like you mentioned.
