I retired from the Air Force after twenty years in 2004. After a couple
of short jobs, I got a job with a defense contractor. My twenty year anniversary with that company was Labor Day 2025. Three weeks later two billionaires in Washington DC decided I had worked enough so we got the DOGE ax.

My 20 years as an aircraft mechanic gave me a very terrible back. I can usually stand for about 10-15 minutes before the pain forces me to sit down. I was planning on retiring next July anyway. I'm just getting an early start whether I want to or not.
Don't get me started on that stupid Department of War name change.
Seriously though, what kind of hobbies do you have? Surely there's room
to get more deeply involved in some of that stuff.
