    |10XT|08>|02 Didn't see any posts in here at all, so I thought I'd make one...|03

That was on me, I needed to rescan the echo. The messages are all here
    now.

    |10XT|08>|02 I'd like to hear about what you all use to connect up to BBSs today?|03

    |10XT|08>|02 I have an Amiga 500 and other than that just SyncTERM on my pc.|03 I mostly use Syncterm on a laptop for convenience, but I really love
connecting with either my Amiga 1200 or Vampire v4+ Standalone. The
best, by far, is the A1200 since it is connected to a Commodore 1084P
CRT. Once you've experienced BBS art with glorious phosphor glow,
    nothing else compares!

    |10XT|08>|02 It's defaintely fun connecting up this way. I was a big BBSer back in|03
    |10XT|08>|02 the day on my C64 running up long distance charges. Seems like after|03
    |10XT|08>|02 that the PC took over and I didn't do much BBSing on my PC, that became|03
    |10XT|08>|02 all about games! My Radio Shack Tandy 1000 HX and a copy of Starflight|03
    |10XT|08>|02 and Sentinel Worlds 1 was all I needed at the time... (Maybe that's all|03
    |10XT|08>|02 I need now too?)|03

I have no idea how I missed Sentinel Worlds. I just looked it up and the screenshots look amazing! Does the gameplay still stand up today?

The gameplay today is still fantastic. Its a 10 out of 10 game most
defaintely. The only issue with modern computers is that it runs too
fast but copies of the game had a FPS limiter build in which fixed that.
You also want to make sure you get the version with the tandy sound
instead of the pc speaker beep... The game is glorious, fly around in
a ship, which you can upgrade by hacking the software. then land on
planets and explore them while following the awesomely written story. It literally has everything in 1 game you need.

Well, that is enough for me! I'm going to jump into this game ASAP.

I went down a bit of a rabbit hole on this. I've put together an
archive that has the game with Tandy sound, manual, cluebook, paragraph
book, and instructions on custom DosBox configuration for it.

It will be on the board tonight for everyone. I'll circle back once I've
    sunk some hours into it!

Is the digital card game "|11Sentinels of the Multiverse↓q1" really a multiplayer sequel of sorts?

I have never heard of that card game, i'll have to look it up. Hard Nova
was supposedly a sort of Sentinel Worlds 1 sequel, but the reality is
they never made a Sentinel Worlds 2.

The game is quite hard already anyways and would take someone a long
long time to complete as there is not a lot of hand holding in the game
and you just have to figure some things out by chance sometimes.

One tip I will share is that when creating characters you'll want the
Medic to have 20 Dex so he can heal fast! It makes a big difference.
Definitely have 20's in the preferred stats for each role as best you
can. There's probably some good character builders out there on the web
that can give you better recommened stats for each party member.

some areas in the game are stat locked, "Only the strong can enter" for example, and if you don't have a 20 in strength in one of your party
members you cant get in. Stuff like that I feel is better to know now
when creating characters. (There aren't many of these places, but
    still...)
