That was interesting. I read a book called Space years ago written by
James Michener and using some similar math came up with an estimate
that intelligent life in our galaxy should exist on about 15 planets.
Of course the chances of them tripping over us would be limited.
That said, I liked better another comment I once heard, that if an
advanced, space-faring race of aliens were to stop at out planet in
search of intelligent life, they would leave immediately after having
detemined there wasn't any.. B)
