• BinkD won't send

From Tiny@618:618/12 to All on Monday, October 28, 2024 12:52:29
    Hello All!

Fighting with BinKD again. It's only sending mail if I place it in the mailbox directory I created for my uplinks.

If someone has time could they look at this for me?

I changed my password to password in this config.

Create a packet for someone and place it in the mailbox.

Then Shutdown BinkD and delete any *.TRY and *.HLD files.

Then restart BinkD and report what immediately happens.

It sends it. If anything is in that directory it gets sent. :)
But like if I copy a CUT netmail there it sends it but I guess the
other end doesn't know how to process it that way?

Binkd just doesn't send mail from the CLO / etc files that are correct
ie: if I view the file it poits to a legit pkt or whatever.

    Howdy,

    domain fidonet OUTBOUND\FIDONET 1
    domain micronet OUTBOUND\MICRONET 618

Does your mail tosser put micronet stuff in OUTBOUND\MICRONET, and fidonet (zone 1 stuff) in OUTBOUND\FIDONET?

Config file doesn't like the outbound keyword there, but
I made the change to the zone and the path as per your
    example.

With luck this will send automatically. If not I'll reply later

No I wasn't going to bother leaving it running all the
time. I'd have to change a pile of drive letters around and
run bink on the desktop instead of the laptop etc.

If this is something you want me to work on I can make it
happen. I suppose. If I have to. (Red green type voice please)
