I heard on at least 3 different media outlets that Justin Timberlake got arrested for DWI (driving while intoxicated) in New York State, and that he refused to take a breathalyser.

Here's something that none of them mention: New York State law mandates that drivers who refuse to take a breathalyser lose their driver's license for 1 year as a consequence of refusing.

I know this because it happened to me. I refused a breathalyser in NY, and I lost my license for a year. But the media outlets don't want YOU to know about it, because they don't want YOU to be outraged when Mr Elite drives away with his license still in good standing, as he swerves all over the
    place all drunkenly.

Plus I had to pay a $500 fine. Watch: Nobody will ever mention the 1 year license suspension law. This is the last you'll hear of it, and you know why.

That's a bummer, I know other states you can refuse a sobriety test and breathalyzer for a (more accurate) blood draw.

Not sure what it is considered now, but they used to teach us in KY that refusing a breathalyzer = admission of guilt.

It's only a bummer if you're not Justin Timberlake.
