Title: Navy Bean Soup

Yield: 8 servings
1 tb Vegetable oil
1/2 lb Ham steak; diced
1 c Chopped onion
1 Carrot; shredded
64 oz (4 cans) navy beans;
- undrained
1 3/4 c Chicken broth
1 c Water
1/4 ts Black pepper
In a soup pot over medium-high heat, heat oil; add ham,
onion, and carrot and saute 3 to 5 minutes, or until
onion is tender.
Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 10 minutes.
Uncover and heat 5 more minutes, or until thickened.
