Hi Folks!
For some unknown reason Firefox (should be the current version) isn't
wanting to load. There's a pop-up error message:
-------------------------------------------------------
| Launch Application |
|-----------------------------------------------------|
| This link needs to be opened with an application. |
| |
| Send to: |
| ----------------------------------------------- |
| | | |
| | Firefox | |

| Choose an Application | Choose...| |

// //

| | | Remember my choice for http links. |

| |
| ________ ________ |
| | OK | | Cancel | |
| -------- -------- |

Runnign Firefox from the command line givs the same problem and error
message as does clicking on the desktop icon. Firefox attempts to
start: I do get a screen that looks like Firefox but it won't go to the
home page; it won't go anywhere. I get the error pop-up (above) a
second or two after attemptring to start Firefox.
The only thing that was changed directly affecting Firefox was a Java (applet?) update. Not sure if it was that or not as didn't restart
Firefox immediately after - had to go to work.
have ot run AV diagnostics as of yet -- will do that shortly.
TIA!

Sort of solved my own problem. Didn't see anything at the Firefox site
so downloaded a new copy of Firefox (3.6.3). Was hoping for a repair
option but didn't see one. Apparently when it sees an existing copy it
will repair itself and that's what it did -- horray!!
