Is Kitchener named after the general who fought in the Boer Wars?
See? That isn't a problem up here, as not only vets, but everyone has GH>free care under our universal healthcare system. Even you would have such GH>coverage if you were visiting up here. Any hospital, any urgent care GH>clinic, any required medical care from a doctor, to blood work, to X-rays GH>to an MRI. And you would never see a bill for any of it...

That applies also to the UK.
My Scottish friend, who now lives in Port Credit, cannot come to visit
me in pennsylvania, but does go to visit his adughter in Northern
Ireland.
LadiesEven if our hockey team doesn't do well, we'll always have
well, so...Curling. They can't take that away from us.
Men's hockey is doing fine, as is woman's. Both men's and woman's curling are right up there, and Ladies figure skating is doing
andYup! It's looking good. I really hope the men's hockey team can keep up that excellent momentum.
As we all now know, the women beat USA for the gold in their hockey
final, the Swedish team stole the gold from Canada in Ladies Curling, taking the extra end to do it, the men's hockey team beat the Russians,
is currently beating Slovakia 2-0. Looks like it just may be a Canada -
USA match up for the gold...
I can't believe it's been that long since I was last on here. By now
our team has won and we've had a major moment in glory. In fact, when Toronto took to the downtown streets after the big game, I went down there to join them. Man, what a party. People body-surfing everywhere, and
the whole street was in an uproar. Pretty awesome stuff!
...Kitchener is a much more subdued city. A few honking horns, and that GH>...was about it... <GG>

In having a DVR I rarely see commercials anymore. So...no, I haven't
seen this one. Sounds just about right now.

Have you seen the commercial for President's Choice... the one where Weston is talking about how PC is the supplier of foods for the Olympics, and some would say that the credit for many gold medals should belong to Pc for that food. Weston then say something like.. "Alright, we'll take the credit, but only a small part of it... we are, after all,
Canadian."

I know... let me apologise for Doug's horrible behaviour. Such GH>language, such threats.. sorry... <GG>
He's not really giving those of us south of your border a very good impression of the average Canadian citizen. <G> But then again, he's probably not average, and would tell you so himself. <G>
Doug? Average? Even *I* wouldn't call him that. He and I might disagree
on what goes before that "average" term... above, below, just.... but
never average alone <GG>

That begs the question: Why would we want to? <G>

We're quite proud of our ruff and tuff powder-puff girlies.
(Notice I never would say anything like that to their faces. I'm an DP>*experienced* man and know full the consequences of such statements)
Did you catch the U.S. media coverage of our recent women's hockey team
talk about how inappropriate it was for the winning women to go on DP>celebrating afterward, with beer and cigars.
