I was just wondering the same. Downloaded a packet with over 250 messages and thought "cool!". Then realized most were dated as
far back as April. Can't believe it's been that long since I was
on the system. ---
The good news is it was April of this year! <gg>

I suppose so. Here it is November and the last I was on was July sometime, evidently.
The patient continues to breathe, so we can't pull the plug just
yet. ---

I've been doing mailruns "reasonably consistently" though the majority
of them come up empty.

Right. Hopefully no one is running dedicated hardware.
And in the Windows vein, about a month back I did a bit of housecleaning
as far as unused utilities go -- not to free up hard drive space but
mostly to possibly boost the performance of this computer. Main problem seemed to be a gradual loss of perkiness, probably due to memory leakage which seemed to be due to memory leakage caused by the Desktop slideshow utility I was using (changed the Desktop picture every so often). At
first liked the change of Desktop background -- suppose due to my bei a Gemini. <g> After a while realized I wasn't seeing the main part of the picture because it was almost always covered by whatever I was using at
the time -- big window in the center of the screen, along with smaller windows to the side (the BBS, Pandora, etc.). Main reason for keeping
the old Desktop utility was for the clock -- I have the Task Bar set to disappear. Recently found a clock-only utility, and this one displays
over everything; the old one would only display the clock if the desktop
was visible but when switching a programme to full screen mode the clock would be hidden.
Knew the old Desktop utility had a problem with memory leakage --
verified by killing it off and watchign the memory usage take a
nosedive. Something (probably s/b plural) is still slurping up the
memory but not as aggressively as it was previously, so don't need to reboot the computer as frequently as previously.

You might want to try barclock.zip on the bbs at techware, its in
the Windows Utilities area, only 20kb it will display the time on
the "Active Window" title bar next to the minimize/maximize/close
buttons so whatever screen you are using it will show the time.
