Well, wrong conference area but the original thread is here....
Early evening Friday -- the CenturyLink repair person was supposed to be
here between 8:15 and 4:15; got a text message at 4:30 will be there at
9:55 a.m. today -- assumed (oops!) meant 4:55, as an earlier automated
message had said by 4:50. OK -- running behind, at least notifing me.
Cue 'Jeopardy!' theme music.... quarter to six - nobody showing. Call
the 800 repair line - and get partway into the automated robot and get disconnected. Call again, get into a loop. Call a third time: finally
get the automated guy to transfer me -- it rings several times then dead
air. Wait for a while just in case.
Dial a fourth time - automated guy, get to transfer, couple of times
says the wait time will be approximately ten minutes; OK, not
horrible.... About 42 minutes later the call gets answered. Very nice
female with just a trace of an accent. Rechecks: order still open, apologizess, tries to contact the technician, no response (which seemed
to surprise her, or at least wasn't normal to not respond). So now rescheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) -- between 8:15 and 6:30 (Good
thing I don't have a life!)
So charging my cell phone up just to be sure not run out of battery and
have to carry a battery pack around too!
